Are all heroes good? Where do we draw the line between hero and megalomaniac? Today the term ‘hero’ conjures up an images of an individual that’s a guardian, saviour and a defender but that’s not always been the case. In ancient Greece, Athenians were constantly afraid that a charismatic individual would become too powerful, and attempt to bring down the system and set himself up as a tyrant. In this short film The Open University’s Dr Laura Swift from the Classical Studies Department discusses this in relation to Batman V Superman.
